a decade ago i bought a rugby in a M and the same one in an XXL to wear at the same time (M on body, XXL tied around the waist) now i mostly wear the larger because the oversized nature makes it feel borrowed (re: better) and for the so smol of it all. v cutesy (im sorry) /A
Wait YES that’s the perfect summary of the evolution of the rugby between 2000s/2010s to now!!! Do we need to talk about prep evolving into slouchier silhouettes to evoke timelessness / heritage (borrowed, not mine but I wear it) vs tailored (made for me bc I can afford to spend it)????
