I’ve had a rocky relationship with shopping since the beginning of this year. At some times (I’m sure you can guess which) the act felt offensive, and at others, it felt like a salve. The truth is that I love beautiful things, I love surrounding myself in the sumptuousness of luxury and ease, and I love living life in a way that reduces meaningless friction (sorry friction-maxxers) within the remit of my control.
As such, I’ve been thinking a lot about the universe of EIHG over the past month-ish, especially as more people join our community (welcome! i love U!). And i think my favorite thing about EIHG culture is the foundational basis that she can do whatever the fck she wants. It may not make sense to you, but it does to her, and nothing else really matters past that, does it? There’s an element of freedom that emits (freely) when you’re embodied that way— it’s alluring and magnetizing and captivating and if you’re attuned to it, suffocatingly HOT. I want even more of that on TM this year.
With that, I felt it was time to construct a better container that reflects my most personal lens on, well, everything. I'm constantly orbiting the EIHG universe (hence, The Orbit), and have been wanting to let you in on the more messy, uncurated bits too.
Last year, I found that each quarter there’d be a literal trove with hundreds of magical, never-discussed finds in my notes app (titled EIHG SH*T). They simply never “fit” within our longer, more consolidated EIHG reporting, but by then, we’d already be on to the next (season, vibe, etc). Which… to be clear.. I h8. So that’s changing.
My hope is that The Orbit can serve as trademarked’s gravitational map of what’s top of mind— a kinetic core that EIHG culture can flow outward from and return back to. Or maybe, The Orbit is simply The EIHG LLM ;).
And more tactically, throughout the quarter, when you see “The Orbit” you can expect a mix of EIHG field notes (inspired by finds), my hyperfixations (which can be about anything, really), and examples of my delirious bouts of whimsy that I need to discuss with you immediately. Fun, unrestrained, maximalist, JOY (the way shopping should be).
Anyway, we have some HITS to discuss this week…… so we’ll start there, and we’ll wrap with some pics & vids and scoops from NYFW events thus far <3.

I know good sh*t when i see it.
Oh, my shopping version of a vocal stim lately has been going into my kitchen, feeling haunted by 24 year old me (who bought.. Everything in my kitchen), and then spending 8 hours bouncing between nickey kehoe et al for new.. Everything.
I recently procured these kitchen towels and i am OBSESSED w/ them…. I have bought 4 colorful ginori plates + 3 ginori bowls (one in malachite the others are white) + one juliska bamboo cereal bowl that i’m convinced will turn me into the kinda girl who eats muesli at 8am…
I went in on a very chic & niche set of swiss wine glasses (which took me at least 20 hours to find)[NO i was not interested in zalto, that would have been too easy ;) .];.....
There’s a couple of boos cutting boards in my cart (i can’t decide which one?)
and finally, i want new mugs after gulping tea out of Jess Graves’s last week and i am contemplating the merits of new silverware (note: there is nothing wrong w/ my current silverware) x a sick kitchen knife set (i have gradually kicked my relationship w/ delivery out the door).
All to say, is there a clinical term for ovulation but in regards to reinventing ur relationship to your home when you’re turning 30 within the year? Perhaps i’m simply experiencing… that.
This is incredibly impractical, thus, it is also incredibly reasonable (in my cart 4 whimsy). And I guess many of you agree, because it’s selling out everywhere FAST.

BOOOY do i have a sneak peek for YOU. I mean, is there an orbit if there isn’t me chattering on (and on, and on) about Monica Vinader (the LOML)??? I just got word that they’re launching a consolidated collection called CHARM SHOP, which **officially drops on Monday, Feb 16, but you can also start shopping it online as of today !!! Also if you’re new to my one & only valentine (TM x MV), read this for the OG lore.
EIHGs, did i do this right? RE— CHARMS: FWIW, I sat across from two EIHGs flipping between French and Portuguese (?!) at my members club a couple weeks ago. I was unsurprised to see them wearing The EIHG Winter Uniform (white tees under cashmere sweaters) but I was surprised to see BOTH of them adorning layered sets of jangling charm necklaces (short to mid-length, nothing long!).
Obviously their hands were full of rings (which, I have covered via my stack of these — spotted in event pics l8r in this letter), but the charm necklaces have always been a gap for me. I’ve spent hours googling in the past and… found it SO HARD to commit to a/ necklace type and b/what charms and c/from WHERE. I thought to myself, better sit that one out kid.
So I’m sure you can only imagine the glee on my face when MV sent me a note last week asking if I wanted to give you guys a preview x review of their charm collection before they hit stores. I was shocked by the ease in which I was able to assemble a dreamy lil stack— which is comprised of this nifty paperclip necklace that keeps your charms centered + the following charms:
This smooth/slightly textured gold one that I used as my base/anchor (more volume, more jangle)
The sisterhood pendant, which felt old world in that antique coin way, while also feeling sentimental (representing my baby sister who is my best friend in the world)
Then, a heart charm in tigers eye (which, when held close to the heart chakra brings grounded love and heart-centered protection)
And finally, a lil bby lab diamond T pendant (I probably should have also added an M??? Buying that now LOL).
My review all in— it’s unfussy, w/ just enough texture & just enough whimsy… or dare I say, charm ;) to take me through the rest of this winter.
Jess Graves, i could kiss you for discovering this one via another tomorrow. The winter weather and I have NOT come to an agreement in mediation, so I will be bringing this top as exhibit A in trial— we all DESERVE this just as we DESERVE to start dressing as if we’re transitioning into spring!
Speaking of spring, are you joking????? With an indigo jean and a tassel loafer? PLS.
TBH this satin jacket made me feel the way that I think current toteme makes me feel.
It’s time I swallow this pill: there’s nothing Herbert Levine that I don’t want….. It’s a sick and twisted purgatory, because I have tens of thousands of dollars of shoes in my cart and I genuinely cannot understand how one parts ways with a single pair (yes, even these); thus, I am—in effect—parting ways with all??? #help #me.
Hyperfixating on this thin baby chick yellow ribbed cashmere & cotton long sleeve 4 spring. It’s kinda whatever but also kinda sexy and that’s the way I like to live. I mean, apparently Lisa Yang took the hippocratic oath because she can truly Do No Harm (ha!).
You should know that guest in residence’s cashmere bandana is back in stock w/ a new colorway.
I once made a prediction (in a case study somewhere in our archives), that heiress culture is going to make a comeback (for reasons i’ll withhold 4 now). Anyway, this kind of blair waldorf core sh*t is sooooo effing ON for spring event szn. Pls someone do right by me and send this.
I genuinely cannot even talk about this parka, it feels like all my dreams are coming true….
BTW, I’m buying this set of ettinger pill cases (per my EIHG bffs x THAT emma grede vid), i just wanted to let you know (the TM GC heard first).
We will continue to revisit this as source material (cough, spring edits).
Do we like this???? It feels like something lee radziwill would approve of me wearing and to be honest that’s all i really need to make a decision. [if you’re concerned about the length, i’m starting to get the sense that this is a vibe for spring]
The chat already knows^ but my new signet ring has become my entire personality. I feel like a lady but i also feel a little bit powerful (perhaps it’s the black onyx). I ALSO feel like this is the EIHG friendship ring and we all need one…. thus, i am noodling on how to make a sick giveaway happen ;).

I’ve had a grand old week [it’s NYFW]. Like i can’t stop thinking.. woah? So we’re bringing the GC to The Orbit for a sec bc we must dish b4 i explode.
The week started at oscar de la renta x puck’s super bowl party. Imagine the most glamorous tailgate you could ever attend and you’re maybe 50% there. Bad bunny made a lot of us cry, we drank out of ODLR x puck solo cups, shoveled in fat heaps of caviar from AAPI owned astrea (one of my favorites), donned the insane merch being distributed, chatted w/ models previewing the newest season of Oscar, and observed many of your favorite characters in highbrow x highbrow all in one room (+ some pals— hi Molly Jong-Fast Carson Griffith data, but make it fashion). ODLR loaned me a bag (eep!) and gifted me a pair of earrings (eep!), which felt very fabulous and glamorous. A big swing and a big hit 4 all teams involved. tuesday! <3 Then a preview of wuthering heights on Tuesday— meta x universal ( Lit Girl !!) kicked off the night w/ a tribeca dinner at maxwell social. Over many courses, we got to preview charli’s soundtrack, which is so good that i woke up craving it the next morning. Following, we were whisked to fouquets for a screening of the film (!!!!). My biggest takeaway is: jacob elordi…… whew. Attendees (that i spotted) included a mix of influencers x literary, culture, and media voices. I got to spend the night attached to laura reilly & Diana-May (which was god’s gift), and also spotted Tyler McCall, Hunter Harris, Peyton Dix, and Courtney, of the substack cohort.
OMFG Target invited me to their NYFW Spring Beauty Studio event on Wednesday morning. I was curious to go, given their Soho location (much lore) was recently transformed into a new fashion and beauty concept store in the city (per target— a more “immersive” way to shop/discover the best stuff they have to offer). I was doubly surprised to find out that it was also one of those parties that no one wanted to leave (rare for 9am, fashion week aside)??? Like the playlist was INSPIRED and everyone I met was so KIND and open to chatting (huge).
However, the highlight for me (altho we’ll hit scoops below), was meeting Kahlana Barfield Brown. She’s a legendary beauty editor (based in NYC) who recently launched a collection w/ Target called KBB by KAHLANA. During her speech, w/ fellow editor x icon Julee Wilson, Kahlana mentioned how nostalgic it felt to be co-hosting the event at Target, a place that — for her — always felt accessible yet prestige (in its quality and its options), even at a young age. I was immediately pulled back to my own childhood memories, where the most special Friday afternoons started with my mom saying, let’s go to Target!
At first, I’d wield my powers of persuasion to buy barbies (mariposa!) for me and my friends— then, that morphed into buying mascara, (infinity) scarves, and new DVDs. As a tween, the best feeling was when I could take my Target bounty w/ me to a sleepover. Somehow, this feels like a universal experience (at least for #american #girlhood)...
My sentimentality aside (which could go on forever), it wouldn’t be me attending a party without bringing u a lil SCOOP, would it? Here’s what I peeped:
I was introduced to Rachel Zoe who told me she loved my braids (I’m memorializing this); on my side, I spent a good half of my 5 mins begging RZ to make a substack + the other half chatting about RHOBH (the true axis of my spirit);
Jodie Turner-Smith is even more celestial and beautiful IRL…. She wore these sick KBB jeans (exclusive to Target);
laura reilly was glowing to the literal nth degree (can’t w8 4 high touch);
Target offered to dress me in KBB (a huge yes— I olsen tucked my braids into this parka)…. which is when I learned that you can ALSO buy St. John and Max Mara on Target’s website?? On steep discount? Who knew!! Thanks team Target for having me <3.
favorites from OSSOU, TWP And by Wed afternoon, NYFW was in full swing. Some wins— my schedule is much lighter than my friends, i’ve been micro-dosing a prescribed beta blocker, and i haven’t felt anxious once. At OSSOU, sensuality is back. At TWP, i felt a serene joy— wellies mixed and layered with structured blazers and silky sets (felt v Pamela Anderson at her farm). Generally, the looks felt lived and alive. I spotted martha stewart, chatted w/ chloe malle (who has read TM ! wow !), found joy ensconced in Jess Graves’s presence, and had the best catch up with my seatmate Hadley Greene <3. At Colleen Allen, the vibes were perhaps the most Fashiony (in the canonical sense) of all.
colleen allen And at Ruadh (home to my favorite (organic) sweatshirt of all time), i felt so warm and gleeful. Jac, Ruadh’s founder and CD, emits the most incredible energy— you simply want to be in her presence forever. The preview was located in a stunning suite at the twenty two (i was ofc entranced by the ginori white plates x cups alone), and the collection was a moving homage to Jac’s scottish heritage. There was a sense of lived-texture, and the kind of oversized silhouettes that are made to take you from a chic meeting at noon to tilling your rose garden at two (my dream life).
i want to buy everything at ruadh.... EVERYTHING. It’s now friday and—
ALL I WANT IS TO BE A FFORME GIRL. The show took my breath away. Sexy, sculptural, simple yet a lil feral — it also squarely personified both yasmin kara-hanani-muck and harper stern (of stern tao). I feel reignited, this is now my north star of becoming… there’s an oversized field jacket in particular (vid below) that really took me to a higher plane. (and the playlist… was insane. Jess Graves what are the odds we can get our hands on this).

And most macro (styling observation), i’m seeing a continuation from fw25— scarves held together with sculptural pins/broaches (example below from Ossou), placed in diff ways around the shoulders and hips. So we are NOT at peak scarf, and expect to see even more of this styling in the fall!
Ok WHEW. A long one but a necessary one? I do believe that we have truly covered, everything.
All in, what a fabulous week, nyc feels sooo BACK. It’s been so fun to see so many new and old friends, I felt like a fairy! I’m off to Sergio Hudson tonight and then I’ll be locking myself in my apt for the weekend (something fun’s coming around the corner!).
Also— I want to hear about your (long weekend?) plans, your opinions on what IM buying and your opinions on what YOU’RE buying, etc etc etc (because i am obsessed with you, obbbbbbvvvvv).
