WOW happy friday. IK most had a long weekend, but it still feels like we earned this one. My ability to not make every conversation with strangers about politics is hanging on by a thread…. like anyone miss the hush hush nature of 2007? Such deluded peace (I was 11 but a preCOCIOUS 11 lmfao). Anyway, we’re not here for my inner dialogue, we are here to SHOP. AKA the four letters that string together my nervous system. Ha! Let’s dig in —

1. No it’s not clickbait. I visited Bella Hadid’s revered facialist (Kristyn Smith!!!) at her studio, Practise, and she poured 2.5 loving hours into my face on Monday. B4 we get into the experience, I want to quickly discuss Kristyn because I’m OBSESSED WITH HER. When I walked in, I immediately clocked that she talks in my favorite EIHG accent, the raised between at least two continents lilt. It’s international school adjacent but carries less of the twang. Niche.. but ik you’ll get it. ALSO — her politics are incredible (we ofc went there IMMEDIATELY lol), and her TWENTY+ years of experience delivering medical grade, targeted solutions was on full display.

   1. Let’s start by saying that I think it’s rude and diabolical to try and boil my time with Kristyn down to the words “facial” (even if that’s what it was). At the very least, it was a string of medical grade solutions/treatments that have left my skin in the best condition of its entire life. Texture? So smooth my jaw drops when I’m applying serum. Persistent glow. Persistently HYDRATED (it’s been a very cold week in nyc and typically my skin would have gone out to lunch lmfao). As someone who has been getting 3-4 facials a year since they were 12.… this is a huge take. Also she uses mostly environ which we have discussed is a niche EIHG AND Goop Adjacent Mom pick. Biologique Recherche is still Up for masks and cleansers (+ luxe facials), but everyone’s moved on from the rest….

   2. At one point I started tearing up? Kristyn was doing shiatsu pressure points after seeking to understand my skin (and facial structure) with the kind of gentle yet thorough care that i’m only used to receiving from my integrative MD. You first fill out an extensive form about your skin and she takes like 10 mins to read and digest, then she moves on to doing a thorough cleanse to fully analyze and examine your skin to determine WTF is up (and WTF u Need — btw she doesn’t upsell… I practically begged her to sell me products and she was like nah you don’t need anything rn🫡).

   3. I haven’t had a facial like this since I was little. It’s OG but also New Age? NoT shade to my true loves across Manhattan who I regularly frequent, but this was just a different galaxy, you can’t compare them. I could write 75 more paragraphs about it, but I’ll leave you with this — I burned my cheek with an ice roller two years ago…. and Kristyn is the oNLY practitioner who has ever gotten the burn to LIFT and FADE (after ONE session??? bombastic). All to say… I’m going back next Saturday LOL. I feel like Dorothy leaving Oz…. I kicked the heels of my leopard sambas and finally found my way HOME.

2. I’m just letting you know that the stake is in the ground — I fear my presumption in last week’s letter was correct…. we all need the Phoebe Philo shield sunglasses 4 summer. Even my biggest critic (my 21 year old sister) said they’re gas. I think I’m going to go v classic in styling — jeans, a crispy row button down, my pink Chanel ballet flats, and then eff around with theeeseeee. HEDONISM (within ur codes) is BACK. a VIBE. If PP isn’t ur thing, these are similar.

3. If you love the Leset Margo tee, but want something that is less opaque & luminous (aka something that feels more vintage & lived in), this re/done collab has FIGURED IT OUT. It’s nearly identical in fit to the Margo yet far more relaxed vs overtly polished. It’s that perfect & crumpled fell out of bed + pulling on flip flops + jeans for some (hungover) weekend errands. I’m obsessed, I’m buying at least 2 more so I can have a strong rotation for spring and summer.

4. I COULD KISS TOTEME RN. Every week (over DMs, EIHG group chats, IRL pre-wedding szn convos) I’m discussing the dearth of GOOD black-tie appropriate evening bags (if I see one more mini kelly at a wedding OR philanthropic event i’ll scream). Vintage always wins in this category, but sometimes you’re in a pinch and haven’t yet found THE ONE (although

   begging for ur targeted investigation). I think toteme nailed it with this satin one — it’s simple yet geometrical enough (80s adjacent) that it doesn’t feel incredibly boring. Also could be very c*nty with a strong blazer and jeans for dinner. I’m tempted to buy BOTH black and cream, but I think I’ll just go with the black considering I just spilled half of my 4pm latte on a cream cashmere sweater…..

5. You guys know I rarely believe in full price…. the flip flops that all the EHGs swore by last summer are quite on sale rn. They are gladly in my cart — to be CLEAR…. I’m morally against a city flop but who knows where the wind will take me by July :).

6. On the note of SALE HUNTING….. if you’ve been here for a while then you know that I’ve been sobbing about my NEEEEEED for the Khaite Rene sweater for months. I somehow found the last one that was very on sale on FWRD. However, I ended up having to buy an L (had tried/loved it in an M)….. hoping it works in an even more oversized capacity because I’ve decided that I REALLY need this to be my new travel sweater…. the cashmere is just so plush and bouncy and perfect and I cannot stop thinking about it. Fingers crossed.

7. UGH. I found the perfect NEW color way for the dries sneakers. However, someone algorithmically h8s me because I have every notification turned on for these shoes and somehow missed them in my size?? Other sizes ARE v available so hop on them asap…… ENJOY </3 </3 </3

8. EIHGS are (discretely) losing their minds over Grainne Morton. Priced relatively affordably, there are soooo many good selects…. I personally feel a strong and inevitable pull that I neeeeed this necklace, alongside this necklace, ALONGSIDE (but not to be worn together) this bracelet. So fun, so summer (but also a cheeky allrounder), and finally something that feels and looks different. The first necklace feels like something MK & Ashley would wear. U just get it or U don’t…..
