8 VERY GOOD (EIHG APPROVED) THINGS

HELLOOOOO happy friday <3. Might I also add….. WHERE did February go? I watched in agony as every second of January dispensed as droplets from the sky, yet weeks of feb blurred by? In march I think we need to take spring/summer seriously before all the good stuff sells out (which always happens by mid April??? and then there’s another wave of Good Things in mid June right? and by august we’re seeing drops of sweaters? omg..) Anyway, I shan’t get ahead of myself — let’s get into some Good Things THIS WEEK!!!

1. Unfortunately, EIHG beloved Bally had to make a VERY good travel sweater. It’s like a polo sweater/rugby hybrid? We’d be throwing a very chill revival of the ongoing 90s bloke energy here. I desperately want to wear with a black jean and my oxblood Lisa Yang cashmere socks and the row espresso tassel loafers (if I ever find). ANYWAY….contemplating……i’ll report back if my willpower evaporates (kinda hoping it does).

2. I’ve never met an EIHG who has never NOT been into Jacques Marie Mage. Every season, I have a new fixation that I stare at until the next season comes and I convince myself not to buy because I like something new more. Currently, these are TAKING ME THERE. I feel like 70s De Niro and I could have gotten married wearing matching pairs and he would have painted me wearing them on a very chic and interesting and ahead of our time honeymoon. Since that won’t… be happening… I’d settle for these and a crispy DC in the greenwich hotel atrium this summer…….. SUE ME.

3. If the silhouette of the alaia mesh ballet flat and the energy of the leopard wales bonner samba had a baby…. it would be these perfect calf hair flats from a beloved EIHG brand (I’ve been told it owns the sales floor of Selfridges amongst the cohort). It’s very hard to get leopard print right — the color needs the right depth and the spots need the right size and irregularity. These are perfect and I’m imagining with like a Good Jean + a crispy/billowy white button down + a glossy, lacquered bright red trench? ooooh or athleisure/errands — the insane cream toteme country jacket + stirrup leggings + the best row long sleeve? The hottest girls would also throw on this necklace rn before it becomes entirely insufferable by May. byeeeeeee.

4. I’m always shopping for my nonexistent swahili coastal beach house out east, outfitted in the style of organic modern meets traditional/classic meets neo boheme…… this bed makes me sick. The international girl’s spin on ina garden meets nancy meyers hasn’t been proliferated by culture yet and therefore I know that the wolf that is living within most of U (cough, EIHGs) will emerge with a scary dominance in the next 10-15. The revolution will not be televised (privacy is hot now) but it will be FaceTimed across enough in-groups to make the intro scene from crazy rich asians look like LITE WORK.

5. On a similar/adjacent note, I think about Bettina Looney’s wedding^ at least once a week. I’m not someone who thinks about their wedding, and I rarely think about other people’s…. but GOOD weddings are like a hat trick too hard to come by to waste in ephemerality. Sometimes to my grievance, my brain rewards Good Things that way, it’s like the visual version of a song that’s stuck in your head LOL. Anyway, Bettina’s wedding era is a niche reference point for me, and these earrings from a very EIHG jeweler Took Me There. Enough that I added to cart even tho my ears… aren’t pierced? Once again, asking someone to study me…

6. I also think I need this necklace in a scary scary way. I live by Lariats, they are the bridge between me and Cameron Diaz in The Holiday. This one is beaded and unique, and the next Hot Girl Color, sigh :) :) :)

7. An egregious pick, but when are we not honest about Going There. It’s all giving CUNTERELLA. It’s so ostentatiously There that you’ll also need the swag of a 77 year old palm beach grandma who runs her co-op on park like she’s busting down hostile negotiations during the Cold War. Her first birkin was on a family holiday in Switzerland when she was 20, and she’s been invoking fear amongst SAs (and Hermes leadership) around the world ever since. Also….. if you’re not tracking, she is the critical living reference point for all EIHGs (an EIHGrandmother, if u will). ^Based on a real person and dear friend TO BE CLEAR — this energy is best experienced in order to be FELT…. I fear this jacket is the same.

8. Erika Veurink
   reminded me of Lizzie Fortunado’s new drops today and whewwwwww. So much to live for (at SUCH a good price I literally zoomed in to be sure my eyes didn’t betray??) — all of these make for the PERFECT necklace paired with a stunning white button down (my all time fave is on MEGA sale). Very Eleanor Waldorf in the gossip girl pilot episode (rancid energy but we can agree she was chic) — this one is gorgeous, but my favorite is THIS ONE, and then this is a long necklace and maybe more Serena but still button down energy. I’m obsessed.
