the aura I'm trying to bring to the function

Hello my loves! I’m working diligently on the all-consuming Literary Cowgirl (LC) EIHG starter pack, but i’m also so impatient and need to get your eyes on some hyperfixations (things in my cart) NOW….

I’m not sure if we’ve discussed, but I’m always.. shopping.. and while I have many sorting mechanisms, the best stuff gets plopped into my notes app at 11pm during my last 5 mins of phone time (which is almost always spent scrolling net a porter/moda/etc — rebranding this behavior as counting sheep 4 girls raised on Sophie Kinsella ;) ).

I have a notes list with hundreds.. of links called EIHG SH*T, many filter into starter packs, gift guides, and edits, but many never see the light of day (aside from impact to my bank account LOL). Anyway, I’m home at my parent’s place in FL and that remains my favorite place to shop… my senses come alive and all I want to do is swipe! that!! card!!!!

As such, my notes app has been HAUNTING me. I want to buy things but I also really REALLY don’t want to make a single purchase rn b4 I chat about them with U first (c0d3pendent :D)? Anyways, here’s a short-ish list of what’s on my mind…. a longer version of the vibe we bring to our group chat, if U will — love u, xo

1. Can someone pls de-influence me from ginori plates bc i’m about to buy a very scary amount… a couple weeks ago, i was eating on my white crate & barrel dinnerware in my apt that i’ve lived in since I was 24, and realized… ew? No shade to C&B et al, but I want WHIMSY. I want FUN. I do own the Gustaf Westman chunky collection but I never use them anymore…. I… toxically, also want something NEW (ha!).

   1. The ginori colors that I want are that yellow, fixating heaaaavily on the minty green (bario), the espresso brown, either of the pinks (porpora or azalea), and that aqua blue (iris)/ also RLLY into that cornflower blue (pervinca)….. When I say I’m in the market for everything I mean dinner plates, salad/dessert plates, and maybe two-ish bowls and two-ish teacups for cappuccinos. Am I like OK… is this normal?? I just turned 29 so I need my EIHGs to inform me if this is the Saturn return’s version of my frontal lobe closing LOLOL.

2. Ummm the goop gift guide reminded me that I want these nickey kehoe hand towels…. does anyone have???? In my most impractical, I’d put them in my kitchen for guests to use after washing their hands… and by guests I mean the 4 people who frequent my apartment :D :D :D

3. I’m also obsessed with flouncy and eclectic fall-ish jackets rn…. this dries bomber in NAVY (rlly getting wild!) is obviously making me dizzy (and delightfully in my cart) but then there’s also this one from COS that is both VERY different and also INCREDIBLY similar in aura/tone??

4. Also, what level of consciousness was I operating on to NOT have bought this when I had the chance??????

5. Another goop guide reminder — I have been on the hunt for Good Water for the past year. Like I love being Saratoga pilled but at some point one has to say enough is enough LOL. I think the answer is obviously found in a water filter, but I want a hefty big boy that makes my nyc water taste clear and crisp (I was raised in a house that’s entirely reverse osmosised) rather than something… mid. I’ve been hearing murmurs on the rorra (also in the goop guide) for a while (but have never been thrilled about the h*b*rm@n marketing).. and then Erika Veurink has a Boroux and that seems very chic and looks like a fun spaceship on her counter…. IDK. If you have one that you’re obsessed with pls let me know!!!!

6. And then I obviously need these right??? But then i’m also perpetually in a lapima mood (these or these).. TLDR —I want a pair of sunnies with a more sheer lens for winter….. like it is just so chic and so EIHG to wear them at like 3pm on a Thursday in 39 degree weather— therefore I mUST.

7. Be honest with me rn…. do I need a silk taffeta button down??? And furthermore… do I go with black or icy blue???? My EIHG gc said no (bc I have too many of these shirts LOLOL) but i’m also willing to not listen to them….. duh

8. The Sephora Sale [starts tomorrow! halloweeeeeen]: I’m PERSONALLY stocking up on my fave Ole Henriksen lip balms (brûlée, cocoa, strawberry); Westman Atelier’s perfect perfect glowy and luxe highlighter (I wear brûlée)… i’m almost out; Fara Homidi’s EIHG beloved lip glosses + finally (!!!) trying the bronzer; GLOSSIER’S LIP LINER IN flush (my favorite!!!!!! Stays on all night when I wear w/ a couple swipes of this EIHG core lipstick); a couple emi jay clips (gr8 to have on hand); obsessed with Roz recently…. buying more hair milk (a serum? a leave-in?); and ofc more lily of the valley hand san.

9. I don’t know what it is about these boots but I want them SO badly…. I cannot underscore enough that I don’t know WHY bc I don’t even know how I would wear them??? Perhaps bc they’re just soooo of what I wore in college 10 years ago that it feels warm and nostalgic to own them again??? If anyone has thoughts I would.. be deeply appreciative LOL

10. SITTING ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT, SCREAMING INTO A PILLOW, RUNNING AROUND IN CIRCLES…. DOING ANYTHING I CAN TO STOP THINKING ABOUT HOW MUCH I NEED THIS BAG… INEEEEEEED THIS BAG????!!!!!!!!!

11. Just a fab top at a (somewhat) solid price, that’s all!

12. When I was a kid and would spend a lot of time daydreaming, I would always think about how I would turn out to be the most fabulous adult… somehow, I always envisioned myself wearing a dress as fabulous as this (Flintstones, perhaps?) and I’d wear it whilst going to something more exclusive than Davos. Do with that what you will (LOL).

And before I head out…. I’m leaving you with some time-sensitive hot girl arbitrage that was meant to go out with the Literary Cowgirl starter pack, let’s call it an introduction, a teaser…… drumroll!

13. An afternoon as a downtown literary cowgirl starts with a matcha from sorate, a stroll to TRR, and a private at coucou to performatively perfect her French. After class, she invariably pops into lauren manoogian and catbird (both down the street), because all of that learning requires supplementary spending (duh). Anyway, this is a good time to inform you that catbird is having their Made Just For You Sale (huge deal in many an EHG group chat)!!!!

    1. Which means this is ALSO a good time to spread my Bring Back Lockets agenda (an EIHG in my life has this one with “baby” inscribed in a Sofia Coppola way.. only do this if you have the aura to do this….. u know???); I’m also a big sucker for things that looked aged and this ring gives scandi wabi sabi international school and she’d likely wear it to offset her oura ring??? And lastly, these emerald earrings are priced very well, are very chic, and are very OF the literary cowgirl. Enjoy.
